Grant Transit Authority Operations Base (Moses Lake, WA)*
Multi-building development for the Grant Transit Authority which included a 10-bay bus Maintenance Building, Administration Building, Fuel Building, Wash Building and Fleet Covered Canopy Structure. Structural systems for each building varied to provide the most cost-effective solution while still meeting the program needs. The Maintenance Building was constructed with structural steel roof framing supported by a combination of concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, metal stud walls, and cast-in-place concrete walls. The Administration Building was constructed with wood stud framing utilizing Advanced Framing techniques to maximize energy efficiency and minimize structural material waste. The Canopy Structure consisted of structural steel framing and CMU demising walls, chosen primarily for fire separation issues.Back to top
